Franklin Precision Castings Upgrades With New DN Solutions DMN 4500S VMC

Franklin Precision Castings has acquired a DN Solutions DMN 4500S Vertical Machining Center, boosting its machining capabilities. The new high-performance center offers faster tool changes, increased tool capacity and reduced setup times.

The company worked with Allegheny Machine Tool Systems for the purchase and installation of the equipment.

“With the new DN Solutions’ faster tool changes, increased tool capacity and the reduction in setup times, we were able to replace two older machining centers and produce better quality parts with shorter lead times,” said Rick Wolbert, machine shop manager.

The DMN 4500S features a 40-tool magazine, a 15,000 RPM spindle, and Renishaw probing capabilities. Its tool change speed is four times faster than previous models, and it provides double the spindle speed. This investment underscores Franklin Precision Castings' commitment to improving its production processes and customer service.
