L&L Special Furnace Company, a leading provider of industrial furnaces, announced the successful delivery of a cutting-edge floor-standing box furnace to an esteemed investment castings supplier. This significant addition to their heat-treating department is poised to enhance their tool and die production capabilities, as well as facilitate the tempering process for finished castings.

The centerpiece of this delivery is the L&L model XLE3436 box furnace, engineered with precision and tailored to meet the rigorous demands of industrial operations. Boasting an expansive work zone measuring 34” wide by 22” high by 32” deep, this furnace provides ample space for accommodating diverse workpieces. Its innovative direct-lift vertical door, activated effortlessly by a floor switch, streamlines access and operation. By incorporating a cantilevered vertical door design, the furnace eliminates the need for additional upright structures, optimizing space efficiency without compromising functionality.

Equipped with advanced features, the XLE3436 ensures unparalleled performance and reliability. A comprehensive program control and overtemperature protection system safeguard operations, while a four-zone SSR control with digital biasing ensures precise temperature control and uniformity. The inclusion of a paperless chart recorder with six thermocouple inputs, heavy-duty Inconel sheathed thermocouple, and recirculation fan underscores L&L's commitment to delivering state-of-the-art solutions tailored to industry requirements.

Notably, the furnace is engineered to accommodate inert atmospheres, minimizing surface de-carb during heat-treating processes. An integrated stack light, equipped with audible and visual indicators, offers real-time furnace status updates, enhancing operational efficiency and safety protocols.

Furthermore, the XLE3436 is furnished with a comprehensive pyrometry package, featuring reference control thermocouple ports and strategically positioned corner locations for temperature uniformity surveys. This meticulous attention to detail ensures precise temperature monitoring and compliance with industry standards.

As with all L&L models, customization options are available to meet specific thermal requirements, with furnaces optionally outfitted with pyrometry packages compliant with ASM2750 standards. Additionally, each system comes with a three-day, all-inclusive startup service within the continental US and Canada, with international startup and training services available upon request.
